In the inner harbor, near the Hoan Bridge, Carmen collects
a surface water sample with a bucket while Russell tends
to the Seabird,
which is shown at the bottom right, almost
completely submerged. The Seabird is held
near the surface for a minute or so before
being lowered into the lake to allow the
instruments to adjust to the water.
 The
collected water sample is then poured
into a storage bottle for later analysis
at the lab.
