Project Overview
"Sustainable Management of Water Resources: Southeastern Wisconsin and Beyond" is a joint project of the Great Lakes WATER Institute (GLWI), the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), and the Brico Fund. The project focuses on three main areas: 1) public education, 2) groundwater, and 3) water policy.
Project Goals:
- To provide science-based information about the waters of Southeastern Wisconsin to the general public and policymakers through the Our Waters series and other avenues.
- To advance scientific understanding of regional groundwater resources and help communities and the region develop long-term, science-based water management plans.
- To develop management approaches for regional water resources that more effectively integrate science in water policy decisions.
