Water Policy

One goal of this project was to develop management approaches for regional water resources that more effectively integrate science in water policy decisions.

The Southeastern Wisconsin Watersheds Trust is a product of efforts undertaken to meet this goal. The Trust is a collaborative effort between private and public groups to achieve healthy and sustainable water resources throughout the Greater Milwaukee watersheds. Project member Nancy Frank convened stakeholders and organized and facilitated all public meetings that led to the Trust's formation. The Trust was officially launched in April 2008.
