Research Interests
The specific focuses of my research include:
  1. The molecular and hormonal regulation of muscle growth and development, with primary interest in muscle disease and metabolic dysfunction
  2. The development and validation of a comparative muscle growth model system utilizing zebrafish and the giant danio
  3. The genetic contribution to susceptibility to diet-induced metabolic dysfunction (diabesity)
  4. The effects of environmental factors on energy balance, feeding behavior, and metabolic disease
