Aquatic
ecology is the study of the functional relationships
and productivity of organisms and communities of waters
as regulated by the complex interactions of their physical,
chemical, and biotic environment. Research at the WATER Institute
focuses on limnology, which encompasses all inland aquatic
environments, including streams, rivers, lakes, reservoirs,
and wetlands.
